As a leading authority on ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) consumer behavior, Liene has spent over two decades studying how the world's wealthiest individuals make purchasing decisions. Her research focuses on individuals with assets exceeding $30 million, examining how psychology, culture, and wealth intersect to inform milestone lifestage events and legacy acquisitions. In addition, Liene is the founder of Splendid Insights, a global wedding market research firm and the first to publish wedding statistics on the luxury and ultra-luxury wedding markets serving HNW, VHNW, and UHNW brides and grooms.

Recognized by Special Events magazine as one of "12 Young Professionals to Watch," Liene's consumer behavior research has been taught in the MBA curricula at 41 universities worldwide – including Cornell University, University of Notre Dame, University of Cape Town, Bangkok University, University of Port Harcourt, and Universidad Argentina de la Empresa. She also provides strategic consulting to Fortune 500 brands, private companies, and luxury hotels on wedding operations, product development, supply chain optimization, guest experience enhancement, brand positioning, and market expansion.

Before establishing Think Splendid in 2005, Liene served as a senior executive at an international NGO, directing strategic development and overseeing hundreds of employees throughout South Asia, Southeast Asia, and the GCC/MENA regions. During her tenure, she successfully led high-stakes crisis management and worked closely with heads of state, cabinet ministers, and other senior government officials on matters of international significance.
