Liene Stevens, the founder and CEO of Think Splendid, is an author, speaker, award-winning luxury business strategist and behavioral psychologist.

Named by Special Events magazine as one of “12 Young Professionals to Watch,” Liene’s research on consumer behavior has been taught in the MBA curriculum at 41 universities worldwide – including Cornell, Notre Dame, the University of Cape Town, Bangkok University, the University of Port Harcourt, and the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa – as well as cited in more than 30 scientific and academic journals, including the Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing and Logistics, the Journal of Festival Management and Event Tourism, the Central European Management Journal, and the African Journal of Hospitality, Tourism, and Leisure.

Liene is also the founder of Splendid Insights, the leading wedding market research firm and the first to publish wedding statistics on the luxury and ultra-luxury wedding markets serving HNW, VHNW, and UHNW brides and grooms.

Prior to the wedding industry, Liene’s career included strategic development as an NGO executive. During that tenure she also led international high-stakes crisis management, working closely with then-Secretary of State Colin Powell and his team.

As an expert on the business of weddings, Liene has appeared as an industry spokesperson on hundreds of TV programs and news media outlets including The New York Times, Forbes, The Economist, France 24, Vogue Thailand, and The Times of Japan.

Liene currently serves as an Allied Council board member for the National Society of Black Wedding and Event Professionals. She previously served on the Board of Directors for the New York Metro chapter of the International Live Events Association (ILEA) and the Advisory Board for the Wedding and Event Institute. 

In addition, she is the author of the books, Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace: Marketing Your Wedding Business in Today's World and Luxe Love: Marketing and Selling Luxury Weddings. Her third book, The Pricing Bible: The Art & Science of Getting Your Numbers Right is forthcoming in October 2024.
