Email is a useful tool, and while we'd all love to get less of it, its benefits are numerous.
It is not great though, when it comes to communicating tone. Too often with email (and any writing app – text messages, etc), tone and intent easily get miscommunicated or misconstrued.
Make it a best practice guideline in your company (and personal life) to only use email as a last resort when you need to apologize to someone or resolve a conflict. Yes, using the phone requires more vulnerability and more bravery, but your relationships are worth it.
#GetSplendid offers tips designed to make your business and life a little more splendid, day by day. Our theme for March is 'Communication.'
